Monday, 9:00 AM. 9 degrees, up from 5 degrees at 8:00 AM. Wind SW, light. We got an inch of snow last night, skies are partly cloudy and the barometer predicts sunny weather.The photos are from our snowshoe trek on the Sioux River Bay, before sunset yesterday. Lucky and I cast a long shadow, and the clouds were impressive with a front approaching.
On the way home we saw the mushers leaving their awards ceremony at the Northern Edge Restaurant on Hwy 13 just south of Bayfield. Everything about dog sledding involves work, like lifting a large, squirming dog up into its truck kennel box.
