THE LAST ROSE OF SUMMER
Monday, 9:00 AM. 33 degrees, wind W, light, the sky is overcast. The channel is calm, the barometer predicts partly cloudy skies and it feels like snow.Colors are approaching their peak, but the rain and cold weather has made it a bit spotty. Some flowers, like the last roses and the geranium baskets, are putting up a good, if futile, fight. Lots to do today as we are getting ready to take a little vacation trip.
